3. No More “Keep Quiet” Signs
We’ve all seen comedy sketches where the librarian furiously shushes a group being loud in the library. These learning hubs are now a go-to gathering place for group work and discussions, and eating, talking, and socializing are all often encouraged. Some even are home to student-run cafes or snack bars.
However, it’s important that the library remains a place where independent study can be achieved without distractions. Usually, quiet areas in libraries are designated for that purpose.
