Build STEM Skills3. Get to the Root of the Problem

During STEM lessons, remind students to ask themselves, “What problem are we trying to solve?” rather than, “What is this problem asking me to find?” Offering students the opportunity to resolve an issue using STEM skills will provide greater self-assurance once a solution is reached. Instead of looking at the problem as a barrier in the lesson, students will recognize this as an entity that is incomplete, similar to a puzzle.
