physics4. Adventures in Home Wiring

Properly building and preparing a home for safe living involves much more than simply constructing walls, laying pipe for sanitation, and throwing in a few wires for electricity. Using the fictitious scenario of helping friends “Sharon and Stanley” build their dream house, the University of Delaware leads students through the “Overload” project-based learning activity, which relies on physics principles to plan a safe, practical wiring layout of the home.
